LinkedIn video downloader
Paste a public LinkedIn post link to open the SaveTheVideo downloader on this page. VideoCatch validates the link structure and embeds the third-party tool; SaveTheVideo processes the post and determines file availability.
How to use this LinkedIn video downloader
- Copy the URL of a public LinkedIn post, activity update, or lnkd.in short link from your browser or the LinkedIn share menu.
- Paste the link above and click Open downloader. Once VideoCatch checks the format, use the Copy link button to copy it, then paste it into the embedded SaveTheVideo input field.
- Review the downloadable files presented by SaveTheVideo. If the embedded frame does not load or complete, use the external fallback or alternative downloader link.
LinkedIn video downloader FAQ
Can I download videos from private posts or connections-only updates?
No. The third-party service can only access content that is publicly visible to everyone without logging into an account. Private updates, group posts, and connection-only shares cannot be accessed.
Does VideoCatch store my video or host downloaded files?
No. VideoCatch only validates the format of your pasted link and displays the third-party tool in an embedded window. File generation, formats, and downloads are handled directly by SaveTheVideo.
Why do I need to paste the link again inside the embedded window?
The embedded SaveTheVideo interface does not accept automated URL parameters from our page. VideoCatch provides a convenient Copy link button so you can quickly paste the link into the embedded search box.
Can I download courses from LinkedIn Learning here?
No. Paid LinkedIn Learning content, subscription-based courses, and members-only materials are not public post videos and are not supported by this tool.
What happens if a post contains no video or has been removed?
If the post contains only static images, text, or external article links, or if the author deleted the post, the third-party tool will find no video file to deliver.
Which LinkedIn links work here?
This page recognizes standard public LinkedIn URLs that point to individual posts or feed updates. VideoCatch checks the link pattern in your browser before opening the third-party interface.
Links to personal profiles, company feeds, or search pages do not point to a specific post. A direct link to an individual post containing a video is required for the tool to work.
| Link format | What this page does |
|---|---|
| linkedin.com/posts/... | Validates the direct post link and opens the SaveTheVideo window |
| linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:... | Validates the feed activity link and opens the SaveTheVideo window |
| lnkd.in/... | Validates the short link structure; video availability is evaluated by the provider |
| Other LinkedIn pages (profiles, company pages, groups) | Not accepted; please paste a direct link to a specific public post |
Finding and copying a direct LinkedIn post link
To copy a valid post URL on a desktop browser, click the three dots icon in the top right corner of the LinkedIn post and select Copy link to post. You can also click the post timestamp to navigate directly to its dedicated page and copy the URL from your address bar.
On mobile devices, open the share menu underneath the post and tap Copy link. Shortened lnkd.in addresses created by mobile sharing are recognized by our link verification, though the presence of an actual video can only be determined once the provider reads the destination.
Make sure the link points to a single post rather than an entire user profile, company feed, or job listing. If a post contains an embedded link to an external video platform, copy the link from that host platform instead.
If the embedded window fails or shows no video
If the form flags your URL as invalid, verify that the link includes an accepted path such as /posts/ or /feed/update/. Links to internal navigation pages or incomplete text snippets will not pass the input validation.
If SaveTheVideo opens but cannot locate a video, the post may be restricted to connections, removed by the creator, or lacking a native video upload. VideoCatch does not have access to private accounts and cannot bypass access settings on LinkedIn.
If your browser blocks the embedded frame or it does not load properly, click Open downloader on SaveTheVideo to open the tool directly in a new tab, or use the ExpertsPHP alternative link provided on the page.
Files, quality and third-party terms
VideoCatch does not host, process, or convert media files. The file formats, resolutions, and download options presented inside the embedded interface are provided entirely by SaveTheVideo or the alternative provider.
When you open and interact with the embedded interface, you are connecting to an independent third party subject to its own privacy policy and terms of service. VideoCatch does not track your download activity or collect account data.
Only download and save video content when you have the legal right or explicit permission from the copyright holder to copy it. Respect the intellectual property and privacy of professional content creators on LinkedIn.
What happens after you submit a link?
Submitting a link initiates a client-side pattern check on VideoCatch. Once confirmed as a valid post structure, the page embeds the SaveTheVideo tool and readies your link for copying.
Because VideoCatch cannot prefill data into the embedded provider, you paste the link into their search field. All subsequent video extraction and file delivery are handled by that provider.
If the embedded interface experiences temporary downtime or connectivity issues, you can switch immediately to the external SaveTheVideo tab or try the ExpertsPHP alternative.
