Yes. A youtube.com/shorts/ link contains a video ID that this page accepts. Vevioz decides whether a file is available for that particular Short.
Does it download playlists or private videos?
No playlist downloader is built into this page. It opens one video ID at a time. Private, removed or restricted videos may be unavailable to the third-party service.
Does VideoCatch store my video or choose its quality?
No. VideoCatch validates the pasted URL and loads the Vevioz page for its video ID. Vevioz handles the video request, format list and download; its own policies apply.
Is this the same as YouTube Premium offline viewing?
No. YouTube Premium offline downloads remain in YouTube's app or supported browser. YouTube also provides a separate way to download videos you uploaded yourself from YouTube Studio.
Which YouTube links work here?
This page accepts common links that identify one video. It reads the video ID locally and sends that ID to Vevioz when you open the embedded tool. The table describes link recognition, not a promise that every video can be downloaded.
A channel, playlist or search-results URL does not identify one video, so the form asks for a direct video link. A watch URL with a playlist parameter still opens only the selected video.

Choosing a direct video link
On a desktop watch page, copy the address in the browser or use YouTube's Share button. A short youtu.be address and a regular watch address both lead to one video ID, so either can be pasted here. Extra parameters for a start time or playlist do not turn the request into a batch download; this page takes the selected video only. If you copied a channel or a search page, open the actual video first and copy its own address.
For a Short, use the link opened by its Share button or the address containing /shorts/ followed by the video ID. A live video or replay can use a /live/ address. This page checks the shape of those links, but it cannot know in advance whether Vevioz can return a file for a particular broadcast, restricted upload or Short. A recognized URL means the provider page can open, not that a download is guaranteed.
You do not need to remove a timestamp, a playlist parameter or other sharing text by hand. VideoCatch extracts the video ID and builds the provider URL from that ID. If you want files from several videos, paste each direct video link separately. This page has no playlist queue and does not collect every video on a channel, even when the video you opened happens to belong to a playlist.
If the link or embedded window fails
If the form rejects your input before showing Vevioz, check that you copied a full YouTube video address. A link to a channel, playlist, search result or another site has no usable video ID for this tool. The same applies to text that merely names a video without including its address. Open the video in YouTube, copy the link again, and try that direct URL rather than shortening or rewriting it yourself.
If Vevioz opens but shows no file, the URL passed VideoCatch's basic check; the remaining problem is outside this page. A video may be private, removed, region restricted or unavailable to the provider at that moment. VideoCatch has no YouTube account access and cannot turn a restricted video into a public one. Try a different public video to distinguish a link-specific failure from a wider interruption of the third-party service.
If the embedded window remains blank, use the external Vevioz link underneath it. That link opens the same video ID in a new tab, which helps when a browser blocks the embedded view. It is a fallback route to the same service, not a second downloader. If both routes fail, retry later or use an official YouTube option for your own upload or offline viewing where available.
Files, quality and privacy
The YouTube video downloader on this page is an entry to Vevioz. VideoCatch does not list file sizes, convert audio, combine streams or promise a particular resolution. Any MP4, audio or quality choices shown after you paste a link come from the provider and can vary by video. Check its displayed format before you save a file; a high-resolution version or an MP3 option should not be assumed from the existence of a YouTube link.
VideoCatch reads the URL in your browser and opens a Vevioz address containing the video ID. If you came from the VideoCatch home page with the pasted link in the address bar, that original link may also remain in browser history. Once the embedded page loads, it is a third-party page and its own terms and privacy rules apply. Avoid entering private video links or other sensitive data into a provider you do not intend to use.
Use a file only when you have permission to copy it. YouTube's own Help pages describe two distinct paths: downloading videos you uploaded through YouTube Studio, and watching supported videos offline with YouTube Premium. The latter keeps saved videos in YouTube's viewing experience, rather than giving you a normal video file to move around. Those options may fit better than a third-party file download for many users.
What happens after you paste a link?
VideoCatch does not fetch the YouTube media or create a file. It checks that the address belongs to YouTube and contains an 11-character video ID, then puts the Vevioz page for that ID in an iframe. The video URL and any download request are handled by that third party.
Available formats, speed and access depend on Vevioz and on the video. If its embedded page is blocked or unavailable, the external link opens the same provider page directly. Do not paste a private link or content you are not allowed to copy.
Official YouTube download options
If you uploaded the video yourself, YouTube Help explains how to download it from YouTube Studio. YouTube Premium offers offline viewing in supported locations and browsers; its saved videos remain inside YouTube rather than becoming ordinary files in your gallery. Those are separate options from this third-party tool.
